On Sun 2nd September we hosted Ilkeston Brass Band and held a family fun day, raising money for our local church, Holy Trinity, and Cara & Shabs Cancer Research Muddy Run Fund.
The turnout was brilliant, with lots of locals, and folk from further affield turning out to enjoy the afternoon. The band played, and their wonderful sounds filled the village, attracting even more into an already very busy garden.
There was several stalls available as well as games and a bouncy castle. Thank you to all the stall holders who turned up at quite short notice.
Hopefully a fun day was had by all. Planning has already begun in collaboration with the Parish Council, Holy Trinity Church, and hopefully Mapperley CoE Primary School to bring you our biggest and best ever Christmas Fayre. So watch this space.
Also, make sure you bring the family to our Halloween Party on Friday 26th October, where the University of Nottingham’s Mad Scientists will be performing a mad science show. We’ll also have a disco and fancy dress contest.
